Almad Salihijo MD, the rural electrification agency on his interview today on Arise TV concerning the lack of electricity in Nigeria, gives his suggestion and also to set a roll project of N140B on solar system.
Series of questions was throwed on him concerning the issue of lack of electricity in Nigeria and how to have massive solar power, Especially in one village in Ogun state, that lack electricity for over 200years now and how to raise the budget with the estimation of 2.5billion in other to settle the issue in the state.
Almad suggested to have a universal access data that can access all the local facilities in Nigeria that lack electricity and also organize a fund that will raise the amount needed for the project without waiting for the private sector and the federal government, that will end up not achieving the goal and the project.
He also stated that each state should have a rural education fund that educate the citizens of the local community on the benefits of bringing constant electricity in the areas that lacks it and also the reasons for the funds.
Lastly, about the grid system of the country since 1125, He said, from the fund, there will be enough to provide automation and intelligent control and stabilize solutions that manage renewable energy integration and ensure utility gride power quality and gride stability while reducing the cost.
