Longi Solar plans to increase production capacity for the new module series by up to 12GW.

Longi, Chinese monocrystallin module manufacturer, has started mass production of its Hi-MO5 module series. It started production of its high-performance module series at its manufacturing facility in Xianyang in Shannxi Province.

The Hi-MO5 modules have an output of up to 540 W, and efficiency of 21%. The modules are based on monocrystallin M10 standard wafer.

It secured a supply contract with Chinese EPC contractor and inverter manufacturer TBEA sunoasis for 360 MV of the highly efficient solar modules that are intended for its production center in Shihezi.

Longi also wants to expand production capacity to 12GW for its new module by the end of the year.

Longi is building a new factory in Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province. Dennis She, Longi's Senior Vice President, said the market decides how much a product is worth. Dennis said the TBEA order is just the beginning for Longi in the distribution of the Hi-MO5 modules. The Hi-MO5 module will continue its international success once they have achieved grid parity.
